Abstract: Effect of the inoculation and overheating holding on the properties of cast iron with high silicon has been investigated. The results show that this method can improve the mechanical property of cast iron with high silicon. The optimized technology parameters for the properties of the cast iron and sound castings without gasholes are obtained.
