Abstract:
The effect of different Zn(AA)
2 content on mechanical properties of NBR was studied. The results showed that Zn(AA)
2 had a great effect of reinforcement on the properties of vulcanizated NBR. SEM analyses indicated that crosslinking reaction between Zn(AA)
2 and NBR might occur during the vulcanizing process, and metallic bridge bond between them was formed. With the increase of Zn(AA)
2 loading, the phase state of NBR transformed from homogeneous and flat phase to netlike and parallel phase, thus greatly enhanced the mechanical properties of NBR.
