Abstract:
Using KF-201 wear-resistant high strength iron-base alloy powder and mixed powder with 10% CeO
2 powder added in it, surface treatment such as spray coating, spray melting and laser coating is made on surface of 40Cr steel. The microstructure, hardness distribution, non-lubricant wear and corrosion erosion of the coats made with above mentioned processes are investigated. The results show that wear and corrosion erosion resistances of the coatings, specially of the laser coating, are greatly increased compared with 40Cr steel. Wear resistance and corrosion erosion resistance in 5% salt water and quartz sand of laser coating are respectively over five times and two times higher than that of quenched 40Cr steel substrate. The wear and corrosion erosion resistance of the coats made of mixed powder are even better for 10% CeO
2 is help to fine the structure of the coats.
