Abstract: A kind of new Mg alloy containing rare-earth metal mixture (LPC) is prepared in a vacuum furnace.The microstructure of the alloy is observed under SEM and TEM,and the phase composition on the boundary is examined with EDS.The results indicate that most of the rare-earth element are concentrated along the boundary in network of metallic compound with a few solutioned into the Mg matrix.
