Abstract:
The ceramic composites of SiC-Si-Ni, SiC-Si-Ti and SiC-Si-B were formed of the SiC-Si ceramic through doping with Ni, Ti and B
4C.The behavior and mechanism of the composites in dry friction at different temperature were investigated. Approaches of solid and liquid lubrication, formed during friction to improve the friction and wear property of the SiC-Si ceramic were discussed. It was shown that solid lubrication film formed in friction reaction was efficient for improvement of friction and wear property of the SiC-Si.
