Abstract: The temper embrittlement of forging steel 14Ni3CrMoV is investigated.It is proved that temper embrittlement can be datermined by means of fractography,grain boundary attack analysis,TEM and Auger spectroscope.Above investigation result shows that the temper embrittlement of the forging steel is related to the accumulation of phosphor and precipitation of continuous second phase on boundary.
