Abstract: A complex passivant for pickling of carbon steel in HCl pickle was developed which is composed mainly of urotropine,sodium glucoheptonate,1,4-butyne glycol,sodium dodecyl sulfate,OP-10 emulsifier.lnfluence of dose and temperature on the effectivenes of the passivant in inhabition of corrosion and fogging was investigated.Application of the passivant in practice showed that the effectiveness of the passivant in inhabiting fogging reaches above 8%.
