Abstract:
A compact and smooth ceramic coat was prepared on the surface of magnesium alloy through micro-arc oxidation(MAO) treatment in silicate electrolyte with self-manufactured equipment.Effects of some factors,such as concentrations of SiO
32-,F
- and OH
- on max treatment area before inactivation were investigated by orthogonal test.The results showed that concentrations of OH
-,F
- and SiO
32- influence the max treatment area obviously in sequence OH
-,F
- and SiO
32-.A optimized electrolyte composition should be OH
-:7g/L;F
-:8g/L;SiO
32-:15g/L.
