Abstract: The cause of delayed fracture of 0Cr17Ni4Cu4Nb steel forging was researched through chemical composition analysis, mechanical property testing, residual stress testing, metallographical examination and fractographic analysis in this paper.The results showed that the cracking of the forging was stress corrosion delayed fracture resulted from improper tempering.
