Abstract: The cracked main-post of a jetfoil was analyzed by means of chemical analysis,mechanical properties,fracture analysis taking operating environment,strain status,working condition into consideration.The results show that the post's crack was due to surface repairing welding on its low intensity meterial area,such as unreasonable sharp-angle and unsmooth surface.
