Abstract: The corrosion types of the cyclic cooling water system of shipping motive force systems were discussed and the inhibitor technology was proposed to prevent the system corrosion.The requirements for suitable inhibitor are analyzed and system tests to evaluate the anti-corrosion effect of the inhibitor are summarised.
