Abstract: Non-metallic inclusion is one of the main factors that resulted in failure of high-carbon steel wires.The effects of structures after heat treatment and the technology process of wire on the drawing performance of wire rods were analyzed,and the controlling methods to decrease the failures during the production of steel wires were put forward.
