Abstract:
In the light of practical application conditions of the materials, samples of aluminum-titanium-steel clad plate were exposed in splash zone and tide zone in Qingdao, Zhoushan and Xiamen respectively for one and four years, and then the corrosion behavior was studied.Results showed that corrosion mainly took place in form of galvanic corrosion, which led to the most serious corrosion of aluminum (1060) and even groove between aluminum and titanium.Corrosion depth was not proportion to exposed time and corrosion speed became slow with the prolongation of exposed time.Comparing to the corrosion degree of specimens in different zones, it showed that the obverse corrosion was more serious at tide zone in Zhoushan, then in Qindao, and then in Xiamen, and the profile corrosion was reverse, that the most serious obverse corrosion occurred at splash zone in Xiamen, then in Qindao and profile corrosion was reverse.
