Abstract: Some progresses have been obtained in the field of coated cemented carbide,including coating materials,coating physical structure,coating technologies,grain size and substrate.In the view of materials science,the advances in coating methods,coating types,coating materials and structure,coating substrate are reviewed.The physical properties,mechanical properties,cutting performances and application of different types of coatings,associating with their coating technologies,are compared and discussed.The development tendency of this field is also proposed.
