Abstract:
Effects of NaCl aggradations on corrosion behavior of Mg-Al-Ca alloy in the presence of atmosphere and SO
2 were studied.Corrosion dynamics, corrosion products and microstructure of the alloy were integrated. The results indicate that corrosion rate slow down when the corrosion products with inhibitive function form in the presence of atmosphere.Corrosion products with no inhibitive function form in the presence of SO
2.The combined effect of NaCl and SO
2 on the corrosion is greater than that caused by each single component.
