Abstract: With the development at home and abroad,titanium alloy find more and more use in ship flexible coupling for its outstanding properties.In this paper,the diaphragm and cylinder type coupling were used as an example to analyze the advantage of titanium alloy as the material of flexible coupling,covering some cautions for machining.The needs of titanium alloy in development of flexible coupling and the existent problem are also proposed.
