Abstract: C_f-Cu composite material is a new metal-matrix composite made of carbon fiber and copper and by proper preparation methods.This material possesses the properties of both copper and carbon fiber, and has some property merits which other material hasn't.For the purpose of providing theory references on research and development and application to other researchers, this paper deals with the performances of the C_f-Cu composite such as good electrical conductivity and good thermal conductivity, good dimensional stability and anti-friction and wear, and explains the reasons for its performances, at the same time, the applications and preparation of the composite material have been described.
