Abstract:
A kind of build-up welding electrode was prepared used for repairing of hot forging die and the componsition and hardness of the cladding layer were investigated after heat treatment. ø5mm wire (H08A) is employed as the weld-core and Ni, Cr and Mo are added into the coating of the electrodes as to increase Ni, Cr and Mo contents in the cladding layer. The processing behavior of the electrode and the microstructure, hardness were detected by using OLYMPUS GX71 metalloscope, Quanta600 SEM and Genesis XM2 X-ray energy spectrometer, Philips CM200 TEM and Hanemann microhardness tester. The microstructures of the clad layer are granular bainite, ferrite and carbide.
