Abstract: With the speeding up of industrialization of high temperature superconducting(HTS) materials,its application becomes much wide. The advantages and disadvantages of the first generation(1G) and second generation(2G) HTS tapes are discussed,and their application prospects are analyzed,respectively,then the application of HTS materials in superconducting motor,superconducting power cable and other fields is introduced in detail and the application prospect of HTS materials in the future is forecast.
