Abstract:
The influences of different aramid fabrics on the FSP-proof property of antiballistic composites to 4.5 g FSP is investigated in this paper.The results indicate that when the tenacity of the yarns and fibers linear density increase, the antiballistic performance of the composites improves.An antiballistic composite made of glass fibers and aramid fibers with the volume ratio of 6:4 is prepared.The ballistic limit (
V50) of the hybrid antiballistic composite is 850 m/s, 7% decreases relative to pure amramid fabrics, while the cost saves 30%, which possesses great cost advantage and extensive application prospect.
