Abstract:
Submarine pipeline was injured during the laying process, the 316 L/625 lined pipes was exposed to the seawater or seawater with sediment, and local corrosion probably happened. The corrosion rate, tube thickness and allowance pitting penetration of the 316 L/625 lined pipes were used to evaluate the allowance immersion time. If the pipeline was repaired before the deadline, the corroded 316 L/625 pipes was considered as accumulating loss, not damage. Reparation method:cut out the injured pipeline and release seawater. -6 inhibitor with oxygen scavenger and pesticide was immersed into fresh water, which was then used to wash the 316 L/625 pipes to clean the chloride and dissolved oxygen. The content of Cl
- in the fresh water should be less than 200 ppm. The use of acid cleaning was dependent on the corrosion and fouling.
