Abstract:
The typical case on the flue-gas-turbine input pipeline of the hinge type expansion joint was cited, and the reasons for the failure of expansion joints were analyzed. The field temperature distribution of expansion joint was analyzed by the finite element, and compared measured results. The results show that the temperature the hinge type expansion joint of high temperature gas pipeline by FEA is simulated accurately. Considered the impact of high temperature creep, the welded joint strength of Vertical plate and cylinder for the formula of design was modified; furthermore, the improvement of the expansion joint structure was proposed.
