Abstract: In this paper,the research progresses of hydrogen absorption and hydrogen diffusion in steel welded joints are summarized,source of hydrogen in joints,a model of hydrogen absorption is introduced,hydrogen diffusion coefficients in several kinds of steels are measured.The influencing factors of hydrogen diffusion and effusion together with characters of hydrogen distribution are preliminaryly studied.
