Abstract: In order to efficiently predict the fracture toughness K_C and failure analysis, Q500 steel welding joint was estimated based on fracture mechanics.The fracture toughness expression of Q500 welding joint was developed through deep notch wide plate test results and charpy impact test results which are depended on metallurgical quality and plate thickness.
