Abstract:
In order to improve the photocatalytic performance of TiO
2,Nitrogen and Prasedymium co-doped titania photocatalysts were prepared by the sol-gel method. The samples were characterized by XRD,SEM and UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The effects of the doping amount, the calcination temperature and the crystal form on the photocatalytic performance of TiO
2 were investigated. The results show that N-Pr-TiO
2 show higher photocatalytic activity than undoped TiO
2. When N and Pr in the sample are 5% and 0.5%(molar ratio) respectively and the anneale temperature is 500 ℃,the modified TiO
2 is anatase phase and the particle size distribution is narrow. Under the simulated light, the N(5%) Pr(0.5%) TiO
2 shows high photocatolytic activity and high capacity in degrading methyl orange solution, whose degradation rate is up to 99% within 80 min.
