Abstract:
The adsorption behavior of Ni(II) on cationic starch microspheres was studied, and influential factors were also discussed such as p H,adsorption time, mass of cationic starch microspheres, and initial concentration of Ni(II).The kinetics was also explored. The results showed that the proper conditions for the removal of Ni(Ⅱ) were when the reaction time was 3 h,the dosage of cationic starch microspheres was 0.3 g and the initial concentration of Ni(Ⅱ) was 50 mg/L.Two classical adsorption kinetic equations were respectively selected to describe the adsorption behaviors of cationic starch microspheres, nevertheless, the Ni(II) adsorption agreed well with pseudo second-order adsorptive kinetics model, indicating that the adsorption behavior of Ni(II) on cationic starch microspheres was chemisorption.
