Abstract:
In accordance with requirements of engineering applications, experimental studies on tension-compression, tensionshear and bend fatigue properties of titanium-steel cladding welded transition joint were conducted. The results showed that when the fatigue life was 2 × 106 cycles, the tension-compression and tension-shear fatigue limits of the welded transition joint were 73. 0 and 62. 96 MPa, respectively, and the bending fatigue stress of the clad plate was 360 MPa, with the joint in good condition. The tension-compression and tension-shear S-N fatigue curves could provide technical support for the design of titaniumsteel cladding transition joint for warship.
