Abstract: The Fe-based damping alloy is a kind of favorable material with both structural and functional properties, which is equipped with good damping capacity, comprehensive mechanical properties and cold and hot processing performance. The damping mechanism, research and application status of ferromagnetic alloy, twinning alloy and complex phase alloy were introduced and the developing trend of the alloys was expected in the paper.
