Abstract:
Submerged arc welding was conducted on 14 MnNbq steel with H10Mn2 wire to study the mechanical properties of the welded product. Test results show that the strength and plasticity index of the joints can meet the welding requirements for 14 MnNbq, the impact work of the joints areas in much higher than required, and the hardness value of the position 2 mm under the weld surface is in the ideal range, no obvious hardening occurred; the metallographic structures of three areas of the joint mainly contain ferrite and pearlite, and such organizations have excellent comprehensive mechanical properties, meeting the requirements for welding technology for bridge steel.
