Abstract:
Silicone rubber insulation material was prepared from used insulator silicon rubber and methyl vinyl silicone rubber (MVQ). The mechanical and acoustic performances of regenerated material were investigated. The results indicated when the mass fraction of the used insulator silicon rubber was 40%, DBMPH content 0.75% and the particle size of the used insulator rubber 40 meshes, the tensile strength of the regenerated material was 1.13 MPa, the elongation at breaking 23%, tear strength 15.2 k N·m
-1 and Shore A hardness 80. And the average sound insulation at low and medium frequency could reach 40 d B when the thickhess of the composite was 1 cm. FTIR results indicated that the aging properties of silicone rubber composites was improved greatly. TG-MS results showed that this material had good thermal stability and did not produce harmful gases like formaldehyde. The composite material with good sound insulation property was friendly to the environment. Its application could not only find new life for used insulator rubber but also produce economic values.
