Abstract: The mechanisms of solid surface icing and anti-icing, preparation and characterization of anti-icing coatings and the technical difficulties of the preparation were introduced. The applications of super-hydrophobic anti-icing coatings and composite anti-icing coatings were prospected in coating industry.
