Abstract:
Nickel-based brazing filler metal was employed to investigate the vacuum resistance brazing of TiAl alloy and 42CrMo steel. The effects of welding temperature, pressure and welding time on the forming quality and mechanical properties of welded joints were studied. The results show that the vacuum resistance brazing of TiAl alloy and 42CrMo steel is realized by using nickel-based brazing filler metal. When the welding temperature is 970℃, pressure 1400N, and welding time 3s, the tensile strength of the joint at room temperature is 330MPa and the tensile strength at 500℃ is 310MPa, which meet the requirements of the application environment of turbocharger.
