Abstract:
Feeding test on impressed current cathodic protection for natural gas pipeline had been conducted in the urban area of a northwest city. Here were tested the measurement parameters including the pipe/ground natural potential, the pipe/ground polarization potential, pipeline electric potential gradient, ground resistance and non-protected pipeline potential. The minimum current density required by cathodic protection was 10 mA/m
2. All the results have verified the safety, scientificity and feasibility of using deep well anode technology for city natural gas pipeline.
