Abstract: Here are described the detection principle and technical characteristics of several main in-line inspection tools of pipelines and according to the latest changes of the relevant international standards, the performances of ILI tools are reviewed. Finally, the application of in-line inspection results and its function in pipeline integrity management are discussed.
