Abstract:
Titanium and steel are widely used in ship building, among which, steel is mainly used as ship hull, and titanium alloy widely used in seawater pipelines and other penetrating parts. However, the properties of welding between them is limited by the distinctions of their physical and chemical properties, and a large number of brittle intermetallic compounds are always formed at the welding interface, resulting in titanium and steel connection problems. On the above analysis, the research progress of brazing, pressure welding and fusion welding of titanium/steel dissimilar metals is summarized, and the development prospect of titanium/steel dissimilar metals welding forecasted.
