Abstract
Influence of nucleation agent F- on the crystallization of CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 glass was studied by using DTA, XRD and SEM. The results indicate that CaF2 can effectively prompt full crystallization. By means of suitable heat treatment, a white glass-ceramics can be obtained with the crystal grain size of 0.1~0.2μm. The major crystalline phases of the glass-ceramics are diopside (CaMg(SiO3)2) and wollastonite (β-CaSiO3). With the increase of CaF2 content, diopside increases and wollastonite decreases.
