Corrosion and Protection of Expansion Joints in Practical Use
Erosion is the main factor in failure of expansion joints. Through investigation on the failures of living examples of the expansion joints used in FCC and the external pressure expansion joints used in destrict heating system, their corrosion mechanism and different effective protection measures are put forward.
