Analysis of Deformation Characteristic of Superplastic Welding Joint

  • In this paper, the effects of two structure ultra-fining treatments (salt-bath cyclic quenching and high frequency hardening) before welding and the processing parameters on the deformation characteristic of isothermal superplastic welding joint are investigated with structural steel (40Cr) and tool steel (T10A) as an object of study.The experimental results indicate that isothermal superplastic welding belongs to the little deformation welding, and its deformation is mainly expression of strain accumulating to time, that the finer the structure before welding, the larger the welding joint deformation. In comparison with 40Cr side, the welding joint deformation of T10A side is even larger.
