Dry Sliding Wear and Friction Behaviors of Plasma-sprayed Nickel-based MoS2 Cermets Coating

  • The dry sliding tribological behaviours of plasma-sprayed Ni based MoS2 coating are researched. The relation between wear mechanism and the structure of the coating as well as topography of the wear surface is investigated. The experimental results indicate that Ni-based MoS2 coating possesses good self-lubrication property and the optimum content of MoS2 is 20%(w) with which the Ni-MoS2 coating behaves best in wear and friction.
