Investigation on Interface between Base Metal and Coating Made by Means of Vacuum Fusion Sintering

  • Interfacial bonding strength between vacuum fusion sintering coating and base metal is measured by normal pulling,and the distribution of alloying elements along the depth is analyzed by electron probe micro analysis.Resultsshow that metallurgical bonding is gained between base metal and the coating with the interfacial bonding strength reaching 360~400MPa which improves thermal fatigue resistance of the metal.The interfacial diffusion of alloying elements is an important factor to microstructure,microhardness and interfacial bonding strength.
