Properties of Anhydride-curied Epoxy Resins Modified with Styrene

The curing procedure of styrene modified epoxy was determined based on measuring curing degree and DTA. The effect of styrene on the properties of maleic anhydride curied bisphenol A epoxy resins was investigated. The results show that the properties of expoxy resins are improved obviously. IR analysis indicates that crosslinking reaction of styrene and maleic anhydride might occur during the curing process.
