The Effect of Rare Earth on Corrosion of AZ91 Magnesium Alloy in NaCl Solution
The effect of rare earth on corrosion behavior of AZ91 magnesium alloy was studied in 3.5% NaCl solution with reference to weight loss, polarization curves and AC impedence. The result showed that the rare earth helps to refine the microstructure of AZ91 magnesium alloy and reduce the corrosion in the solution.
