Effects of Al and Mo on Mechanical Properties of Cast Titanium Alloys

  • The effects of Al and Mo content on the mechanical properties of Ti-Al-Mo-1Zr cast series titanium alloys are investigated with orthogonal test. The results indicate that the strength of the alloys varies directly as Al or Mo content, the ductility and impact toughness vary inversely as Al or Mo content, but the interaction of Al and Mo enhances the ductility and decreases the strength and impact toughness.
