The Influence of Compacting Pressure on the Behavior of Cu-Ni Powder Sintering

The bulk specimens of Cu-Ni powder mixture are prepared by means of compacting and solid sintering. The influence of the compacting pressure on the sintering behavior of Cu-Ni powder mixture is investigated. The results manifest that to increase the compacting pressure properly can improve the interface diffusion and migration of Cu and Ni and is beneficial to the formation of monophase Cu-Ni solid solution and the increase in density and hardness of the specimens.
