Preparation of Lithium Battery Cathode Material LiNi0.8Co0.2O2

  • A new kind of cathode material LiNi0.8Co0.2O2for lithium ion rechargeable battery has been prepared by high temperature solid sintering and the influence of the relative technological parameter on the performance of the material is investigated. Through controlling the parameter, a high performance LiNi0.8Co0.2O2with loose density over 2.0g/cm3and first discharge electricity capacity larger than 160mAh/g is obtained.
