Effect of Weld Defects on the Fatigue of Aluminum Alloy Joint

  • The fatigue characteristics of welded joint of aluminum alloy 6061 is tested and the effect of weld defects on the fatigue of the joint is analyzed.The results show that the size and the distributtion of gas pore and incomplete penetration affect the fatigue of the joint significantly and the slag inclusion will detract the fatigue property of the joint severely.
