Abstract
A simulate experiment on helm made of damping composite material is carried out in which the radiation characteristic of vibration and noise of the damping composite helm and metal helm is compared. The results exhibit that the vibration and noise of the damping composite helm reduces about 7dB compared to the metal helm in the frequency range of 100Hz~5kHz manifesting that the damping composite has a promising application prospect in some structures exposed to vibration.
