Preparation and Evaluation on PVA Polarizing Film

  • Polarizing films were prepared by means of flowing method. Optical properties of the polarizing films containing iodine element and containing iodine, nickel and cobalt elements were studied by UV-range spectrophotometer. The results confirm that polarizing film containing nickel and cobalt has higher transmittance, single polarizing coefficient and combinational polarizing coefficient. When combined in perpendicular direction, the wave crest of leaking light moves left.
