Materials Databases for Selecting Material and its Applications

In this paper, present status and the application in materials-selecting area of materials databases are introduced. The materials?-selecting process in engineering and technology field is very complicated, so materials database exhibits obvious superiority for this. As an example, the database system for abrasive wear resistance materials selecting is described, to illuminate the accessibility and veracity of materials databases and predict the tendency of the application of computer aided materials-selecting in engineering and technology field.
