Study on the Property of Electroless Plating Ni-W-P-SiC Composite Coatings

The propertie of electroless plating Ni-W-P-SiC composite coatings is studied. The results show that the corrosion rate of the composite coatings is lower than that of 1Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel in HCl、H₂SO₄、H₃PO₄ and FeCl₃ solutions.The corrosion rate of the composite coatings after heat treatment at 400℃ is lower than that of the coatings in plated condition.Both hardness and wearability of the coatings increase with the rising of heating temperature reaching their optimum values at 400~600℃,but will decrease sharply if the heating temperature gose up further. The both also increase as heating-treatment time extension and reach the optimum values after 3 hours of heating at 400℃.
